The Royal wedding is just weeks away, as is the launch of my new collection. Just a timing coincidence? Oh no, there is more to it than that.
My new collection to be named "Cordoba" was inspired by a Spanish embroidery design from the Renaissance. With my interior design background, I often look to architecture and interior finishes for inspiration, so no surprise there.
With a little research on the design, I found the style of embroidery was actually made famous by the style maven of her time, Catherine of Aragon. See the "Kate" connection.
Then whil e in a waiting room earlier this week I saw this great article in People Magazine about the famous Kates in history. And who's photo is first? You guested it, Catherine of Aragon.

Hi Jeffery,
Thanks for the comments. You are so correct, not alot of Spanish references in jewelry design. I always look to cultural designs and patterns for inspiration.
Saw you are in Houston. How is that market doing?

"Kate of Aragon" wore jewelry, but not as stunning as what you have made there. There's not much Spanish-inspired collection out there, don't you think? I wonder why that is.
